This was maybe the 5th or 6th shoot I’ve done with the XE-5, which was once again focused on getting the color profiling and film simulation tools suited to my shooting style. Instead of making a bunch of wild color settings as I did before, I decided to make all of my color settings functionally focused: A low contrast mode, high contrast mode, low contrast + saturation, and a high contrast + saturation collection of color settings seemed to fit the bill. White balance could also be adjusted on the fly to tint the image. This made my workflow feel like I was playing with Photoshop on the fly, rather than fighting the camera. Big win! However, this workflow isn’t quite up to par yet, but hopefully I’ll get it to a point where I don’t feel like I need to edit anything after shooting. That’s half the reason you buy a Fujifilm. Minor tweaks were made in Lightroom before uploading the images here. Have a look!
